It's understandable. Germany paid a lot for the crimes of the Nazis. I'm sure he wishes that only individual Nazis were held liable and not the entire German government.

i think you don't understand the case. she's saying the victim won't get money, prisons aren't responsible for ther employees somehow - and our resident rape apologists agree with judge handmaiden, as expected.

Why does this criminal deserve $$ from the taxpayer? I think the prison guard should have all his assets seized and given to the criminal instead.

don't be ridiculous, no one says the criminal deserves taxpayer money. it just happens to cost a whole lot of money to incarcerate him, but that's just part of the system...

How does the state not have a duty of care towards those it incarcerates?

you do. you just argued against ACB’s legal conclusion, which said the prison guard criminal should pay the restitution to the incarcerated criminal.

instead you want the taxpayer to pay for all of it. Taxpayer-funder final solutions may have been popular amongst your ancestor and his friends, but we don’t do that here

I cant wait till Barret does her job as a judge and decides legal cases instead of enacting legislation for her preferred party.
