it's true that his logic is terrible
however, he has a point that the scientology subplot (that is the direction A-train and Deep are going in) has seemed somewhat disconnected from the rest of the story. For now, I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt that the reveal of its plan is something big. But they've set a high bar for themselves.
If it doesn't live up, then I could start seeing some validity in the criticism that those characters are worthless and could have been killed off long ago.
