just started D2 back up today(few year hiatus) and i heard lots of good about this forum. Is there a way to earn gold or do i have to spend real $$? just wondering how i can start from nothing and work up. Once i get off my feet i know ill be bartering in no time. I would start by suggesting you to read the d2jsp rules ( https://forums.d2jsp.org/info.php?p=9 ) , and check this General Help Unified Sticky ( https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=79841247 ) - here you can find most of your questions, be sure of that.

This pretty much gives you a heads up on how you can get Forum Gold. By trading in the different sections that d2jsp offers you, purchasing with $, in the Graphic Design section if you are an artist, by joining contests that might be around the board.
You can also play Ladder Slasher ( https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=272 ) -> although don't expect to earn FG quickly.

All in all, nothing is free - you'd have to earn it playing.

You may also want to check this topic every now and then if you're playing Diablo II: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=79413494 --> sometimes people gives items for free here; maybe some day it's your realm/core.

The only ways to earn are for you to make trades and trade stuff you have in the games JSP Supports, the best way to get FG if you are wanting to spend money without buying directly from the website would be to fulfill peoples I’m search of threads for steam games, those go for a 100:1 ratio, so $60 game would be 6,000 FG.

You cannot make for trade threads though, you can only do it for what people have,

Please request a mediator for all trades as you are new to the forum and it’s quite common for new people to be taken advantage of.

i assume you're trying to make forum gold while playing diablo 2.

there are numerable ways to do this, and it all depends how you're going to play.
i.e. if you're not already in hell-mode or don't plan to be any time soon, your options are limited.

try posting in this forum section: Diablo 2 Discussion
there are knowledgeable people there that can better pinpoint your interests.

you can also try reading the links in this guide section for diablo 2:Diablo 2 Unified Guides & Resources

when you are ready to trade... read both of these and don't trust in-game contracts involving forum gold.
