There's something sexist about the constant droning on about women who aren't likable enough. Is Trump likable? He's the most abrasive personality in the culture. Is Pence likable? He's a nice boring contrast to Trump's insanity, but not exactly Mr. Charisma.

Anyway... Biden made the smart and safe choice, as he has done most of his campaign. I'm feeling good about the pick.

I don't but I also recognize that I'm pretty biased against her since she's my senator. I don't think she actively harms the ticket but I really do think Duckworth would have been the best pick.

I'm not a fan of hers or anything, but it seems to me on the face of it to be a safe choice. Duckworth's story is an impressive one(listen to her interview with Axelrod where she tells the story of losing her legs in Iraq), but viscerally to me it doesn't feel right. Maybe my views on the American public are too negative, but someone in a wheelchair as potential President would turn people off.

Although it would've been illuminating and depressing to see how the cult attacked her.

There's nothing sexist about acknowledging that Harris is despised in leftist circles for her history in locking up black men.

I mean, Trump said he likes "soldiers who aren't captured" in reference to McCain so I wouldn't put it past Trump to take it up a notch.

Black quoted his post about her being unlikable as a personality, so I responded to that part.

She reminds me of Hillary Clinton.

Voters tend to be sexist in favour of women on characteristics like honesty and trustworthiness, but less forgiving when those assumptions are proven wrong.

So in a business like politics at the highest levels, what would that lead you to conclude?

That voters want leaders like Merkel, and less like Clinton.
