We're the greatest country on earth... yet the best choices voters can offer up is Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders?

I don't have an issue with the latter.

Arguably Bernie is exactly what everybody is always talking about. Somebody genuinely motivated by helping the people who doesn't play political BS games. He's more or less what Trump claims to be to score political points.

yep no more political wannabe dynasty swamp demon candidates put forth by one or both major parties like we had to deal with almost every election cycle from 1988-2016 (Trump defeated both wannabe dynasties in 2016 in legendary routings)

That's a lot better than I thought he'd do tbh. It should be good enough for a first place finish in South Carolina where he desperately needs a win.

Yes, it's better than expected, and he will probably squeeze out a narrow win over Bernie in SC. But that's not nearly enough to get anywhere. It's enough to hang in there, but not anything more than that.

He is skullfucking the DNC.

Let's wait and see. My prediction is clear: resistance against Bernie will ramp up drastically starting tomorrow.

I like Bernie as a person, and believe in his good motives. I also agree with a lot of his problem diagnoses. However, I thoroughly disagree with most of his approaches at tackling those problems, and I dislike and distrust virtually every person in his orbit. I could live with Bernie himself gaining modest amounts of political power as the president issuing EOs in the face of a gridlocked Congress. But his rise will boost and enable a lot of fucked up figures and ideas, and that's why I have to root against Bernie despite not feeling any animosity for him.

Why do you say that? If he wins by 7 points in SC, that's a pretty big deal because voters might look to him instead of Bloomberg on Super Tuesday. If Biden gets 35% of the delegates on ST, that really hinders Sanders' chances IMO.

It's about expectations imho. If Biden barely wins the state which he had been touting as his stronghold all the time, the state which has overwhelmingly favorable demographics for him, then that imho wont create a lot of energy/momentum for his campaign. Also, I dont think that Biden will win SC by 7+ points, rather 3-4% I'd say.

3-4 isn't good enough...I agree with that. I'm saying that 7% is the "minimum momentum" threshold for him.

Yes, I agree with that. I just dont think he'll get to 7+. ;)

Bernie and Biden basically tied in SC according to current polls, and Bernie definitely comes out of Nevada with a greater boost to his momentum than Biden.

And were you saying this about Trump as well in 2016? Because I can't remember that far back and if you weren't then your bullshit radar is just horribly broken.
