I'm not so sure about that. Until now, Bernie hasnt come under that much scrutiny because everyone was busy piling on Bloomberg, lol. Bernie is long overdue for a "scrutiny news cycle", and it's definitely coming after tonight.
On top, once the field is consolidated and the alternative to him is clear, there will be a fuckton of endorsements and donations for this person. I also think that you're underestimating the degree to which the donor class does not want Bernie to become president. They will try to drown Bernie's "insurgency" in a 'green wave' once they know where to spend their money.
Until now, Bernie was flying somewhat under the radar although he was the clear front-runner since at least New Hampshire. Starting tomorrow, he'll be in the eye of the storm. Things have been a cakewalk for him up to this point.
