because Bishop was an absolute wall without the firepower of tampa's forwards, instead he deals with 2 bitches crying about the owner instead.
Backups shouldn't relate anything to the vezina finalist performances.. look at Domingue, he had 21 fucking wins as a back up. His numbers weren't dog shit either.
If the defense system was more of a reason for bishop's success then Khudobin's stats would also mirror close to his, instead it mirror's vasilevskiy's more without the wins.
khudobins stats are insane for a backup, just like greiss and lehner
vasi faced way more high danger scoring chances and scoring chances off fast breaks than bishop or lehner, because his teams system was more wide open than the defensive systems of dallas and nyi
look, i dont care who wins the vezina. im just relaying why vasi won a landside and why it makes sense. he did it all. dallas and nyi defensive systems played more into bishops and lehners numbers than tampas forwards did for vasi
elliot had a historic year a few years ago when he was 1a with halak. he didnt win the vezina despite his numbers being better because he wasnt as good as the others. he was largely the product of a system.
