half way point blues were dead last, just making the playoffs was a huge accomplishment.

blues were bottom feeders for half the season, isles were never bottom feeders throughout the season.

Binnington and Berube both lost out because they were only a part of half the season. If playoffs were taken into account they both would have won.

Armstrong did good work last summer but the Blues weren't a powerhouse in the season overall.

whats weird to me is binnington didnt win calder because he didnt play enough games, but bishop was a vezina finalist with 3 more wins than binnington.

was it that shitty of a year for vezina quality goalies?

i guess thats fair
im not worried about binnington not winning the calder, i dont think he deserved that one.
But in my head being dead last half way, gm makes a move to fire the coach and bring an interim who then vaults the dead last team to the playoffs, deserves coach/gm of the year.
thats just me i guess :P

binnington was also the single biggest reason the blues made the playoffs. regardless of how good petey was, he couldnt vault his team to the postseason.

its a toss up, but the lack of volume should be cancelled out by being the biggest reason the blues made the playoffs and have a cup

Bishop was rock solid all year, hard to fault him for his team not scoring enough to get him more wins.

Like DeGrom and the Cy Young last year (although Bishop wasn't as dominant)

hes rock solid when hes healthy. i just dont know where the line is drawn. 50 starts? 40 starts? 35?

or if they weigh how much a player means to their teams success. seems like volume is being overvalued.
