I am contemplating only running Normal baal quest bugged. Because i can easier play in multiplayer games, and he can be static'd down to very low hp resulting in much faster runs. Also very easy run, no risk (playing HC). Can also be combined with baalruns to help newbs, but then must be clear that i get the drops. And it makes it complicated because i must create game with normal completer first to not get quest. So it gets tricky. Can make private baalrun games though, to make rules clear.

Another thing to keep in mind is spawning certain areas at lower player counts. If you spawn an enemy with one person in the game, they do not get stronger when more players enter the game. This is most important for these areas:
NM Duriel (Massive tank and takes forever to kill on p8)
Hell Council/Trav (This area is increadibly hard for low level teams and is soo much easier p1 spawned)
Hell Ancients
Hell Baal

Other areas could be P1 spawned, but those are the ones we make sure to spawn at lower player counts in our runs. You also do not want to do this too often so you do not get temp banned for leaving/joining games too often.


how does this count as a p8 run? surely people don't do this and think it counts as one

Ah but some hardcore players still think it’s too ez coz you can die. Much harder to be farming normal trist at lvl 20 4 hours into ladder amirite?

i've seen ladders where the hardcore teams are ahead of the softcore ones lol

Not in any recent ladders as far as I know. Currently the top tens of all the hardcore speedrun records are held by softcore players too ^^

If the run was labeled P8 you would be correct. but it is labeled as a 8-man run. In the 8-man run 8 players must participate and complete hell baal. In game glitches (such as glitching baal q for telesorc) and mechanic exploits are allowed. There is a category for single player P8 runs and those must be set at P8 at all times.

Well.. If they hold hardcore speedrun records ARE they spftcore players?

Aren't softcore players categorically players who don't play hardcore lol

Well same could be argued other way hardcore players strictly play hardcore

Its unsurprising the best players play both. Which is what I am saying. Skilled players in both camps. Top teams in either are going to be good regardless.

Yea this

Hell baal kill is the target

Just happens 8 man team is the fastest way to do it
