The trinity are one, all aspects of the same power.
Simply a splitting of self.

Why pretend to have three then? Why isn't this defined somewhere clearly? Why can't this just be measured if it is real?

We can arrive at 3 in one, for the function of checks and balances OR deduced from a divine self originance (self cause-effect relationship), among other indications.
What would constitute a tangible form of trinity, that you can agree is real, if one were to present the definition and evidence?

For example,
That measured form, if it is real, could presumably be something of "action at a distance." How does measurable science describe the relationship of gravity or magnetism during "action at a distance?"

People didn't ask so many questions 2,000 years ago, the earth was flat and numerous deities walked the earth.
A triple God was not a big deal.
Now that people have evolved the God of the gaps keeps being exposed and walked back.

The politics of the time make it clear why the trinity makes no sense.

Its a compromise of several contradictory beliefs, Jesus just being a messenger, Jesus being divine but not God, and Jesus himself being God.

Its just a way to have your cake and eat it too, and since Christians make such a big deal out of not assessing their theology critically the clear contradiction doesn't matter. Just hand wave it away as "gods mysterious and complicated".

any jews who practice judaism do not accept jesus as a prophet. they do acknowledge he existed, but believe that he was the misguided bastard child of mary and a roman soldier. according to some, he misused holy kabbalistic names of G-d to perform "miracles" in order to convince people that he was more than just a man. but no jews believe he was any kind of prophet other than a false one.
