This.... You don't have to read the manga to follow the plot of any good anime, that's how it works lol. If a plot is only coherent with extra material not being presented in that medium, it's not going to be successful outside of hardcore fanboys. AoT has explained everything that you need to know up until this point, and you should have a pretty clear idea of what's going on now.

this anime just has alot of information like names/places/etc.. to digest for my small brain.

like for example i dont know by heart the district within each wall or all the character names, just know mostly main ones.

any idea how many episodes this season wil be

Should be 24-25 like the first 2

season 2 only had 12 eps but season 3 is supposed to have 20ish eps
