You aren't looking at this right

Half the auto range doesn't mean you have double the skill cap. It means you have double the skill floor.

More range = more choices = more opportunities to not make the best play.
Less range = less choices = the best choice is more obvious

Therefore champions with more options are harder to master.
Every time you fail to hit someone going for a CS with Caitlyn, you're misplaying.

Champions with more options have higher skill caps.
That's why Caitlyn is one of the hardest ADCs.

Vayne is a champion that, against the right comps, has a skill ceiling directly correlated to the skill level of the player. In other words if there isn't a point-and-click cc on the enemy team you basically could POTENTIALLY outplay every enemy player in a teamfight and win. Caitlyn can't do this because she doesn't have a short-cd reposition, movepseed bonus or untargetable stealth. She, in fact, is much more limited in what she can do in a teamfight for fear of being flashed on. Her play pattern in a siege or river objective is very one-dimensional in that you lay a trap line and DPS from behind your frontline. Vayne isn't limited by this. She can flash into backline and dps enemy carries...something Cait can almost never do. Caitlyn is the Garen of adc's and making an argument that Caitlyn is harder to play than Vayne is just plain silly. Either you've never played ADC above Gold or you're just taking the opposition position for the sake of discussion.

By what logic?
I wasn't trying to make any sort of point with logic. I was wondering what he meant when he said she has an untargetable when she doesn't.
Unless vayne got a rework I am unaware of.

Caitlyn is by far the highest skill cap laning ADC in the game...
You have so many punishment opportunities. So many ways to manipulate the lane.

Champions that are stronger early are harder because they have more options.
Options is what makes a high skill cap.

Vayne's options are extremely limited.

That logic works both ways, having less options and trying to work with limited options can also make it harder to play. But I do understand your logic
