70% in synthetics. Real world fps gains are different,
user does not have a 144hz monitor nor does the budget allow for it.
were splitting hairs for the sake of argument.

here's your build....
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bZ7wzY

Add a keyboard and case without hurting performance.
go on...

PC: $680 https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-Computer-580-130/dp/B075LVK78B
SSD: $60
Monitor: $80
Keyboard/mouse: comes with PC

E: Dang. Guess we overshot it by $20. Oh well. At least no mail-in rebates.

I'd argue that users specifying small form factors are doing so for a reason and understand smaller isn't always best.
Most of these builds I do in the small form factor style are cause of living restrictions, micro/tiny homes or for aesthetics.
Generally people don't want mid/full towers in the middle of there living room or beside there tv stands.

In this case the user isn't really losing out too much. The only thing I can see that comes with a premium price tag is...
The psu and case itself, but even after switch out both the gains wouldn't be huge when put back into other areas at
that price point. The users needs are also quite limited compared to the average user these days.

> worried about premium price tags

> defends $600 (actually were $1500) headphones

I hope we can both agree that Hp does not push out quality builds (parts) nor has a good warranty/return policy.
The keyboard is low grade as well. I highly doubt that case gives much in the room of upgrading or airflow.
Neither of us factored in 13% tax and you haven't factored in additional shipping costs on your end either which adds to cost.
Theres trade offs on both ends.

/edit
ignore the tax remark it auto directed me to .ca
I should add your option though does void the warranty once you open that case to add the SSD.

It's Amazon. And I've opened one up. They're more than good enough. Shipping is free on Amazon. Airflow will be fine. You're nitpicking.

He can live with the negatives for the time being. That HP prebuilt is the best performance for $ PC on the market. Get a better mech when he gets more money. The $5 Dell membrane at my work has served me well for 5 years.

Shipping is free on amazon with prime right? cause last I checked not everyone has prime and it also has a price tag.

I also added in this bit above...

Were both nitpicking I'm not even arguing it.
But HP is terrible when shit breaks. amazon only covers you for 30 days.

Free shipping for anyone. No it doesn't. And they'd never be able to tell you opened it if you just take the SSD out. They're not sealed. HP is fine enough for what you get in this.

https://www.amazon.com/amazonprime?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0

Shows it costs a fee, guess the websites wrong.

I've had companies refuse warranty cause they can tell the screws had been scratched when removing
and reinserting them on the side panel. While this didn't stop me at the time from getting a warranty claim
done you'd be amazed at what some companies will try to pull.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryzen 1400 under load uses up to 130 wattage
RX580 under load uses up to 250 wattage

your prebuild ships with a 300watt psu
https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05686875

Thats not taking into account the drive reader/dvd drive/HDD/SDD/mobo/RAM all which add to power consumption.
I wonder how long that 300 watt psu lasts the op if he does ever try to fully utilize the machine or just run a stress test.
All PSU calculators suggest higher wattage units and show power draw higher then 300 watts

I'm sorry I just can't take your HP suggestion as being the right choice. I'll end it on that note and agree to disagree.

I'm aware of the parts. I've opened one. Works fine in practice.

Everything has load spiking. 1080Ti on a spike can use 415 watts in itself.

Measuring a spike is stupid. Your post is shilling at its finest.

That's not a spike. That's how much continuous power those will use under load due to self/factory overclocking...
