Todd Gurley’s new 4-year, $60M extension that includes $45M Gtd is the largest guarantee given to a running back, the largest per-year average for any running back, and gives other RBs such as David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott a new benchmark.
Leveon Bell about to have a heart attack
Gurley is also 23 compared to Bell being 26. At the end of 4 years, Gurley will still likely be in his prime while Bell will be a 30 year old running back (read- Old and beat up). Gurley's numbers were a great improvement last year while Bell's numbers declined. Gurley doesn't have suspensions for off field issues. Bell does. Gurley was an MVP candidate last year...Bell has not been.
Bell may well have a heart attack over it, but he
SHOULDN'Tget the same kind of deal that Gurley gets despite what he thinks of himself.
