Dan Connolly of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports that it's a one-year, major league deal while Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports hears that it's worth $3 million. According to Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com, Tillman chose the Orioles over accepting minor league offers with the Tigers or Blue Jays. The veteran right-hander is coming off a brutal year where he posted a 7.84 ERA over 19 starts and five relief appearances, but he's hoping to prove himself and hit the open market again next winter. If healthy, he'll presumably join a rotation which is also set to feature Kevin Gausman, Dylan Bundy, and recent addition Andrew Cashner.

Well no shit he'd take a 3M guarantee over a minor league deal... Sounds to me like Baltimore overpaid.

First two years are $25M each. Back three are $20M.
Opt out after year 2.
One additional opt out being reported I believe (not sure when)

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Phillies and Jake Arrieta are "having dialogue."

Top free agents Yu Darvish, Eric Hosmer, and J.D. Martinez have all found homes in recent days, so the focus now turns to Arrieta. There's a connection with the Phillies, as members of the team's front office know him well from their time in Baltimore. Arrieta would be a great fit in Philadelphia's rotation, but Heyman hears that the Phillies would prefer a shorter-term deal. It's safe to say that multiple teams would be interested if the soon-to-be 32-year-old is seriously willing to consider such a scenario.
