MASN's Roch Kubatko reports that the Orioles have signed Andrew Cashner to a two-year, $16 million contract.
Cashner posted an ugly 86/64 K/BB ratio in 166 2/3 innings last year with the Rangers, but he still managed a 3.40 ERA (138 ERA+) and the Orioles have been in desperate need of decent starting pitching depth all offseason. There's not much to like here from a fantasy perspective, as the 31-year-old right-hander will probably have a difficult time navigating the small parks and big bats of the American League East.

A few positives are his 15th ranked 48.6 groundball rate and the hard hit percentage against him was only 28.4 which was 11th among starters.

Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports that there is an option for a third year at $10 million that vests if Cashner pitches 340 innings in the two seasons or can become a player option with 360 innings pitched. Cashner can also earn up to $5 million more with incentives.
Ehh, I like Cashner, but I'm not gonna bet that high on him doing too well with the Orioles.
