apparently developing apartments and houses is completely worthless to society, as is walmart which provides countless millions with more affordable food and all kinds of other goods.

Walmart is one of the parties responsible for the biggest health epidemic in US history. They owe the American public billions. They eradicated the greengrocer/traditional supermarket in favor of their one flavor fits all sugar paradises. They can burn for all I care.

1. many walmarts stock a wide range of vegetables etc
2. its the people that choose what they want to buy, and what the stores sell reflects that.

i mean sure if you want to get mad that they sell goods you dont like too cheaply thats one thing, but thats not the argument that was presented either. (i.e. walmart are bad guys for being better than smaller shops)
