Typically yeah, you're not wrong at all.
Especially these days where even the V6's get dual exit titanium exhausts. Used to be the easiest way to tell the difference.

But there's a guy local to me with a big turbo factory long block V6 Mustang.
He hurts alot of people's feelies.

Yeah I noticed V6 camaros can get dual exhaust straight from factory now.

I don't know, I just feel like it's really silly to buy a brand new LS v6 Camaro. You are getting the most absolute bareboned Camaro trim + no addons when you can buy something slightly used and get a fully loaded V6 camaro or v8 camaro.

I've said the same words as OP in this thread 1 year ago to justify buying a brand new v6 Camaro, which I atleast got 1LT + RS package.

Only thing I care about out of RS is the LED headlamps. Otherwise, the wheel change doesn't matter and I don't care for the rear spoiler. The headlamps do matter to me though -- but 2100 Canadian dollars??

Other options:

Sunroof: I can live without it
Tech package: stock speakers are good and the 7" screen is good, tech package takes that to 8"

Just test drove the 4 cylinder turbo. Dealer tried talking me into it, tried telling me to mod it... no.

Sounds whiney and weak, annoying noise. It is not 285hp, the engine is weak and acceleration feels like 220hp. My mom's v6 265hp Acura has better acceleration, sound, power.

Otherwise the actual car is amazing. Going to get the sunroof.

Going to stick to v6 for sure.

Why would a v8 be needed over a v6???

v8 has better 0-60. But it sounds worse, in my opinion. Feels worse, in my opinion.

If I were racing, sure, v8.

But the 4 cylinder is a bitch engine. It sounds like a whining bird that's dying.

Mustang is pretty nice looking. IMO just a bit more southern gritty look compared to the camaro. I would have strongly considered it if the camaro didn't exist. Came down 100% to the body of the car, but I've immediately loved everything about the camaro save for small back seats. Just about to order just finding best dealership to handle thru, then waiting on freight in.

V6 twin turbos, must sound like a formula 1 car? Aha

Dealer got back to me: Gave me a quote for a 2017 model with cash incentives, but no one has stock on it. He asked "is there anything else you might like? Let me know."

So I email him back and say I want a sunroof as well, and a quote with & without the R sport package (final dollar amount including dealer fees). I also ask about trade in valuation.

The email back: quote didn't include dealer fees, he didn't factor in taxes or levies, and this time there were no cash incentives, told me there were none (he didn't realize his first quote included them). And he didn't address trade-in. And he didn't end his email with any "let me know what you think" kind of comment. I will stress: I told him I'm paying cash.

So that's one less dealer on my list. Almost every dealer is still trying to convince me that the turbo camaro is better than the v6, and "why would you want a v6 when you can mod the turbo". They all try telling me the sound of an engine doesn't matter. When I stick to my guns they're really not too interested in even helping me order a 2018 model -- which is odd, I am telling them I am paying CASH.

Pretty frustrated. It's like no dealer wants to give me a final quote, no dealer will sit down with me to work out the final details so I can sign and pay.

Yeh but if they gave me a number I could at least make a decision.

I might have found a blue 1lt model with:
RS package
Sunroof
V6
Engine block heater
Improved audio system

2017 model so it comes with discounts. Just not my colour. I will view it tomorrow if it's in stock (it's showing at two competing dealers at same time so might be gone who knows).

It's the last 2017 with v6 and options I want within 1600km of me.

For the money saved I could get a paint job.
