If the conflict involved just North Korea then after the initial outbreak of conflict the entire peninsula would be safe within a week or so. There is no way the North Korean military could stand up against NATO forces. The question is China. If China backed North Korea its a different ball game, if China backs regime change then its lights out for sure.
i dont see that as a possibility as china's military is emerging and they know the cant win a longterm war with NATO either imo. in 50 years? yeah i say that's in play given how the high tech warfare could really change our ideas of who beats who. as it stands now i dont see them destabilize the world for a much more inferior trade partner. what i dont know is if china and russia would throw in together. i tend to think not as it seems like a mutually insured destruction of the world, all to again protect a pretty shitty ally.
but i'd like to see some sort of action that isn't starving the people of north korea, i'm just not sure at all what that is.
