You're on your A game today my friend. Like I said, obviously he didn't deserve to be murdered, but inconceivable is probably a strong word. I would imaging 99% of his family, friends, and authority figures he had to talk to before going to NK told him that it was extremely dangerous and to not fuck around with them because they take it very seriously and will kill or imprison you. I think it's fair to assume he had many warnings of the dangers, but he wanted to be a cool guy and go to NK and then have the idiocy to try to steal something from them, AND have more idiocy to have that thing be a piece of NK propaganda, which obviously they are infuriated with Americans fucking with.
