what about goblin toe? 25% CB on those.
Goblin toes work great, kinda funny since most people will just chuck them if the come across a pair.
I use those myself and recommend them, My build uses a combo of zeal smite, so not a pure smiter at all...the points distribution are a headache. Max Fan, max smite, max HS, 1 point defiance (with bonus from gear on synergy to HS), one point salvation and max Zeal with all the rest dumped into sacrifice for synergy. Gear is: Fort, Grief, Goblin Toes, Eth Kurast Exile with 37 resists, Hoz and Light sabre (for physical immunes) on weapon switch, rare ammy with resists and +1 pally skills, rare rings with resists. I use the string myself, crafted blood gloves with 6% CB and 30% Fire resist and top it off with a 68 Kiras. I would like to get a Guillaumes face sometime and have been arguing with a buddy about what to put on his smiter since he doesn't think Guillaumes is a good choice...maybe I can snatch it off him soon for some pgems
I use him mainly as a clone hunter and have gotten 9 of them in the past 2 weeks but have also done some Uber trists with 6 torches for myself and friends as well.
Main point is to get at least 30-40% CBs somehow and more is always better. You do not need to get high end stuff to make an effective smiter and the general skill points in the guide are pretty sound. Easy to find gear that could make an effective smiter are: Coldsteel Eye cutass, Steel Runeword phase blade or cutlass, spirit pally shield with decent resists, Smoke runeword armor, the previously mentioned Goblin Toes and crafted blood gloves of some sort for the crushing blows. You could try Rattle Cage for the extra CBs, but the resist problem will be a challenge
