There's the guy in Denver who assaulted a security guard and got shot, the guy shot by a guy driving through protestors in Austin TX, the kid in Kenosha with two kills, and several people killed when fuckholes drove their vehicles into crowds of protestors. So it's just another case of endless being endless.

I find it funny how pretty much all lefties agree that the military-industrial complex exists and is deeply influential in Washington politics through an army of lobbyists, politicians they got in the bag and lots of fellow travelers among the career officials in the federal bureaucracy... yet when right-wingers claim that there is a "deep state" which is similarly entrenched and pursuing similar causes beyond the narrow scope of military interventions, then the lefties reject it and accuse them of being nutty conspiracy theorists.

Because when they say "deep state" they are almost never talking about the military industrial complex, and are instead referring to conspiratorial garbage like "stealing the election". You're doing that thing most right wingers did for most of Trump's administration, where something stupid is said and then it's back-filled with reasonable sounding things that were very clearly not meant by the statement.

No, it refers to the accusation that bureaucrats, often within the intelligence services, are leveraging the apparatus of the state for partisan ends.

It does not reference "stealing the election", obviously, because it predates Trump's 2016 election win.

Trump was accusing the deep state of rigging the election in 2016 dumbass.

I'd say continuing wars is pretty bipartisan.
