because the actual pvp'ing system gets boring very fast. there is only so much you can do with it and lld'ing right now is pretty much a gear check than anything else for most duels, and the rest are based on match ups. there are maybe 5 players on each realm that can compete with each other, and those duels are won 80% of the time by the class with a better match up.

so as of right now, lld isnt sustainable. we need blizzard to introduce teams or objective based pvp for lld to become an actual thing like it was on D2. which im sure they will do eventually. EVENTUALLY™

I see. Yeah, it sounds like the same problem that VLLD has on D2, it's just hold & click and pray that your gear is better and that the RNG [Block/dodge/evade & damage rolls] works in your favor. I can easily imagine that D3 pvp in general is like that.
I guess that's just the nature of the beast and part of why D3 will never be half the game D2 is.

the problem is not playability. there are very few duels that imply you standing still and fighting (only with monks and barbs against other monks or barbs). the problem is that even in a duel that is very mobile, matchups are still a huge issue.

to put it in a simple way to someone that has never lld'd in d3, matchups are very similar to say a charger vs. a poison zon in d2. theres just no way in hell a zon can win unless very lucky, or against an undergeared or unskilled opponents. the matchup in this situation is mobile, but overall the charger's kit is more powerful than the zon.

D3 pvp was a joke.. better luck next time blizzard.

Blizzard has stated outright that they never intend to balance the classes for PvP. Their concern is 100% for PvM. They're not even trying. They have absolutely no idea that PvP in D2 is important to its success.

I agree 100%. That is why there are still so many who play D2.

They should've just allowed game names so people can actually find lld/mld games.
Not that it matters much now. Pretty sure RoS continues the disappointment D3 was.
