Lol, you want to work in, you change the weights. Not the other way around. If they offer and ask how much weight, sure. If they don't, you change it. Where is your etiquette?
Ozzy, why didn't you ask them to work in with them and show them real manly strength. Ask their name first, maintain eye contact through the mirror during the set and whisper / soft grunt their name while grinding out the reps. Always finish with a pose when you're done with your set.
