The contract A-Rod signed with the Rangers worked out. I think it was 10yr/250m but he was probably younger than Betts than the time.

Been a lot of fails like Pujols, Cabrera, Fielder, Mauer, Tulowitski

A-Rod worked out for about half his contract but the back end was awful plus all the steroid drama that came with him.

The rangers contract. Probably signed in like 2000. I'll look it up later

Most of the ‘Rangers contract’ was with the Yankees. He signed it with Texas then got traded like 2 years after signing it.

Ya but I was referring to the first big contract he signed with the rangers before getting traded. It was well before 2009.

Only a 3 year difference I believe

A-Rod was 25 and the Mookie contract starts at 28

He signed 10yr/252m contract in December 2010 with Texas.

Then it looks like he opted out after 2007 and got a new contract with NYY. So he never finished the 10 years but he was definitely worth the 7 years on that the contract.

I wasn't talking about player age. It was just about big contracts.

You can't really compare those contracts age wise anyways.

Arod from 25-35 is much safer than Betts from 28-40
