I can’t see them drafting a QB whatsoever. Rodgers stil has 5+ years in the tank (hopefully) and with Kizer still under contract for another 2 years, I don’t see the need.

I think Ed Oliver would be a nice pick @12, assuming Devin White, Devin Bush and Rashan Gary are already off the board. I’m not buying the Metcalf hype, I personally don’t think he’ll be drafted until 15-20~ range at least.

I’d be thrilled if we could land Hockenson or Fant @30, but I think they’ll be off the board by than.

There's zero chance Hockenson will be on the board at #30. He could go as high as #7 overall to us. Fant should still be there at #12, but it's pretty doubtful he's there at #30. Irv Smith Jr could still be there at #30 though and will probably be drafted by the Pats at #32 if he is still there.

Why don't you go cheer for Haskins at 7.

I hope it is Haskins at #7, that'd be the best pick they could make.

Yeah, I know. Wishful thinking that’s all. I think Irv Smith will still be on the board @30 for sure. I see a lot of mocks predicting you guys will take Jawaan Taylor @7.

A lot are predicting Hockenson, which would be the most ideal pick and is our biggest need. Foles' favorite target is a TE and we don't really have any. We most definitely don't have a play maker at TE and Hockenson is the real deal. It's very hard to find a flaw in his game.

Taylor would make sense also since we cut Parnell, but people forget we drafted Will Richardson (very talented, but dropped in the draft due to some off the field concerns) at RT last year in the 4th round. He injured his knee early on and it was basically a red shirt year for him. I don't think RT should be addressed in the 1st round (competition should be added at some point in the draft though), but I understand if they go that direction early because Foles is a literal statue in the pocket and must be protected.

Dwayne Haskins would be the best pick though. Would give us our future Franchise QB and it would give him a year to sit and learn behind Foles. Problem with that is, this front office is in win now mode and don't really have the luxury of drafting players to sit. This Offense needs help right now (TE, OG, WR, backup RB), or Foles is going to fail very badly. He isn't good enough to carry a team.

Any y'all read Tyler Dunne's Bleacher Report article? Makes Seth Wickerscam's articles on the Patriots supposed issues look stupid in comparison lmao

Just read about half of it and the repetitiveness kind of got to me. It's hard to judge, the whole article is based off of like 3 or 4 people's accounts, Ryan Grants being the only one that left the packers on a solid note. Greg and Finley, those guys are women.

I read the entire thing, it was a good read. Obvious it's a lot of opinion based stuff but I think it's got merit.

The biggest surprise to me was probably that Rodgers supposedly wasn't consulted on the Matt LaFleur hire, I was under the false assumption that this was going to be "Rodgers' guy" if you will... Tyler Dunne says it's not and that Mark Murphy was basically like to Rodgers: "Don't be the problem". That doesn't mean Rodgers doesn't like hire/LaFleur, but supposedly he had no input in the process?

I do find it funny that you came away with the take that Greg Jennings and Finley "are women" and not Rodgers lol. This article makes Rodgers sound fairly unlikable. Kind of like Big-Ben level of pettiness. Tough to say though because like you mentioned, the article only mentions like 4 Packers' names... there was a bit in there that Rodgers was changing McCarthy's plays at the line of scrimmage like a 1/3 of the time, and his young WR's (think they mentioned St. Brown) didn't know whether to run Rodgers' plays or McCarthy's lmao
