In favor of signing jordy, he’s such a great 3rd down weapon. I think otherwise patriots get him and make him look like a stud again

At his age?
Naaaaaah hes passed it now
Has maybe 500 yards in him maximum before a major injury happens

Might be interesting to work him into the slot like Larry Fitzgerald to extend his career. Since we have a need at slot receiver it might not be a terrible idea.
Typically you want short, fast, twitchy guys in that role but you can also do precision and accuracy similar to the patriots.

We do not need Jordy y’all.. for the nostalgia, sure. But that’s all you’d be paying for. Lets not forget, this is an entirely new offense he’d have to learn. He’s 34 & can no longer run by a DB. We need recievers that can create separation, can’t rely on Rodgers to extend play after play like MM thought he could.

Adams
GMO
Kumerow/MVS/ESB/Moore

Unless we suffer some injuries earlier on in the year, I can’t see us bringing him back. (Ex. James Jones a few years back)

I really don’t think GMO is our best option at thre #2 receiver spot. Jordy is probably still faster. Having the slowest receiver core in the nfl the past few years hasn’t been working out very well

Fitzgerald is a good example of what jordy could be. Learning a new offense doesn’t matter when you have the chemistry he already had with Rodgers, they’d literally have their own plays.

Kukerow probably just a jeff Janis in the making but we can hope for another jordy

After the opening four games, Allison was on pace for 76 receptions, 1,156 yards, and eight touchdowns. Outside of Davante Adams, no other Packers pass-catcher managed that level of production at any point in 2018.

That was before he went down with the groin injury. I think you may be underestimating GMO a little bit man. Jordy is not faster imo & he can’t create separation anymore like he used to. He had 1 good game last year and did essentially nothing outside of that. And that was with a terrible Raiders receiving corpse. He had games where he didn’t even see any targets. Again, I know it’s Carr & the Raiders but still..

I understand Jordy and Rodgers would still have their solid chemistry, but idk.. I just think we go with Adams, GMO and MVS in the slot. I wouldn’t be apposed to bringing Jordy back, but we have bigger fish to fry imo

e: we will also be using far more 2 TE sets and running the ball more as well so.

Not sure why WR seems to be such a low priority, but I would consider anything possible come draft day since we plugged a few holes in FA. Wouldn't even rule out drafting a QB tbh.

I can’t see them drafting a QB whatsoever. Rodgers stil has 5+ years in the tank (hopefully) and with Kizer still under contract for another 2 years, I don’t see the need.

I think Ed Oliver would be a nice pick @12, assuming Devin White, Devin Bush and Rashan Gary are already off the board. I’m not buying the Metcalf hype, I personally don’t think he’ll be drafted until 15-20~ range at least.

I’d be thrilled if we could land Hockenson or Fant @30, but I think they’ll be off the board by than.
