For the first time since the famous 1998 "la séptima" final against Juve, in which we broke a 32 year long painful streak without a CL title, we are the underdogs.
We've had six other CL finals since then, and we've always been the favourites... the margin of our theoreitcal superiority may have varied, but bookies always paid the least for our victory as the final outcome. This time, it's the opposite.
We need to see how both teams adapt to this scenario. I'm confident that we will at least do our best, as we've been successful throughout the whole knock out stage despite not being favourites in any of the ties. We also have the experience and the confidence provided by the previous successes.
Liverpool may prove to be too powerful this time if they can handle the pressure of being the stronger team and coping with the fear of ending such a fantastic season with "just" a somewhat underwhelming double... but if we can get our heroic CL spirit to shine once again, we might just manage to extend our CL final winning streak to 8.
Let's do this, boy. ¡A por ellos! ¡Hala Madrid!
