Just watched True Romance for you

Still hold up for you? It’s so hard for me to say without doubt that a movie is my #1, but True Romance has consistently made the top 1-10 without ever dropping since I first saw it.

I should rewatch it though, it’s been about a year.


I watched The Informant and Rain Man over the last two days. Absolutely loved the Informant, Matt Damon was perfect and the entire thing is just so looney that it’s impossible not to enjoy it.

Rain Man is a classic, but it honestly wasn’t as good as I remember. Cruise is awful throughout the entire movie and even during his redeeming moments he’s still unlikable or childish. Still enjoy the movie overall, but didn’t age super well for me.

First time I watched it like 2 years ago I thought it was just meh. Second watch, fucking epic. Loved it.

@ bolded statement: No I did not say that at all, re read what I stated, it was more of a question, shit I wouldn't know about SS comics, never read a single one of them. You should have realised that.

I am not defending Black Widow because of anything other than better action scenes (combat) with subtle humor and the back story before she became a hero. It tied things up.

Now Suicide Squad (2021) was just typical throw down mentality with more blood n gore and the humor was over the top.

So naturally I would rate it differently to you, but 7.5/10 for SS. If i would actually rate it, it would be 3.5 to 5 being generous, as for Black Widow, I would give it a 5-6 rating ... Hell Boy beats SS in my opinion ... Daredevil TV series beat SS and Black Widow or even better it beats Iron Fist, but then Jessica Jones was decent.

Daredevil Movie? Dang, will have to see if there is one to compare. So then my last movie I watch now will be Daredevil.

Still need to watch true romance. I thought the informant was awesome haha.

Predator (1987)

It felt dated. The sound mixing was awful.

But it also had some good aspects. It's clear that people behind the movie have a good idea how to make a movie.

I don't regret watching it, but I enjoyed it less than I did Kindergarten Cop, which I just watched last night.
