D = Total Chance to do Double Damage
C = Chance to Hit (assume equal levels)
A = Average Damage Units (chance to hit multipled by double damage chance)
C = ((AR / (AR + DEF)) * 0.25)
A = C * (1 + D)
Example (numbers with THE GEAR I USE, adjust for your own): For AR = 14768 w/ Ravens (77.38% double) vs AR = 27662 with Angelics (49.3% double), solve for DEF:
=> (((14768 / (14768 + DEF)) * 0.25) * 1.7738 = (((27662 / (27662 + DEF)) * 0.25) * 1.493
=> 6548.8696 / (14768 + DEF) = 10324.8415 / (27662 + DEF)
=> 6548.8696(27662 + DEF) / (14768 + DEF)(27662 + DEF) = 10324.8415(14768 + DEF) / (14768 + DEF)(27662 + DEF)
=> 6548.8696(27662 + DEF) = 10324.8415(14768 + DEF)
=> 181154830.8752 + 6548.8696 * DEF = 152477259.272 + 10324.8415 * DEF
=> 28677571.6032 = 3775.9719 * DEF
=> 7594= DEF

no you're posting false garbage. please understand that this calculation that you blatantly stole from mcm is about 2 angelic rings vs hl+2x ravens, AND THUS TOTALLY IRRELEVENT FOR YOUR ARGUMENT THAT ANGELIC+RAVEN IS A VIABLE COMBO.
you are right i used mcm's calculation and i should have said that
you are right it is impossible to kill hammerdins with 2 fcr rings and highlord on ,but its is possible to kill the general pub smiter with that set up.
and i didnt expressmyself well 2 angelic rings and amulet does better than 2 ravens and highlords against high def oponents assuming you are not in a pub game.
and i am sure if we compare set ups they are almost identical.
if you play nl then you have some better charms and boots and thats all.
