You may be correct about Australia, as my perspective is largely limited to Canada and EU/UK. Here in Canada we do not have a single media channel that leans right - we have the National Post which is great, and the censored Rebel News, but no TV channels.

I don't mind the National Post and The Globe and Mail but yes not as much television coverage, not exactly surprising given our current system essentially buys good news coverage. I am okay letting CBC die and some of the other heavily subsidized ones even though I do use CBC North. I use more local ones anyway, Cabin Radio for the NWT, Nunavut News for Nunavut, Whitehorse Daily Star for Yukon.

The precedent being set is just great. We have public proof a politician committed clear and undeniable misconduct. Someone claims to blow the whistle on that misconduct, and they get thrown in prison without a trial. The politician doesn't get a trial, either, of course
