Not only does Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of True Detective, have nothing to work with “Night Country” but it was originally created as its own show, & latter re-whiten to fall under the True Detective umbrella. I’m still fairly enjoying it, but that’s why it doesn’t really feel like True Detective. It’s also kind of all over the place. These last two episodes will have to be simply phenomenal for it to live up to the TD name.

Kali Reis seems a bit one-dimensional, the other main characters are fine IMO. To me, the problem is the writing.

Well, I'll definitely keep watching. Hardly anything decent on these days it feels. Even Fargo was a bit of a let-down, though it had its moments and certainly wasn't bad.

Wish story was delivered by the team who worked on The Outsider.

Issa López missed a lot of depth (potential), story seems now lacking and is kinda cheap after few episodes in. Not even mentioning stuff like Danvers completely denying any non-rational explanations, but at same time is sure Navarro seen someone invisible in the room.

Wasted potential of more psychological thriller.

They are trying to do way too many things in 6 episodes. It’s fucking ridiculous how many different characters and plot lines there are. It’s just poorly done



That is beyond insulting to s2 it is so much better than this nonsense. That shit was bleak but was actually good
