Hello everyone, just learning how to build a Paladin Smite vs Smite. I tried everyone build and im still getting rekt. What are the best gears i should be using?

COA 2 x Ber
Grief zerk
Phoenix 65 Ed base
Gores or boots with main stat
20 ias 10 cb gloves
Enigma for mass strength and damage reduction
Dungos
Maras or fun 2 skill pally ammy
Raven frost for cbf
Soj

Cta and spirit switch

Max pally combat lifers and small charm lifers.

i think this is too cookie cutter for the specific task of smite v smite.

maybe zerker over pb not 100% need ias bps
vortex exile
dracs
dungo
goblin toe
bk rings
2 skill big strength ammy
maybe shaftstop (levi and valor would have 2 high str requirment)
27 20life scs (well high life cbskillers would be worth using)

on the one hand i dont know if vortex is allowed in smite vs smite. on the other hand you definitely dont want vortex base in this scenario: def doesnt matter against smite since there is no hit check, also vortex have low block. better go st for best block or sr for best dmg

vortex is allowed, why wouldn't it be? but nobody uses it because it's an awful base

sry meant exile ofc, dont know about the life tap rules...
but y, vortex is awful, that was my main point

i went with exile because of life tap i though vortex because it has the highest smite damage. i wasn't considering bm or not. it was banned from gm dueling in lod back in .12.

not even sure if exile is considered bm anymore now that it's so incredibly bad. either way, exile is a trash shield and phoenix >
dracs are trash
shaftstop makes no sense
shako cham makes no sense
and so on

post #1 gave a pretty tight answer. your suggestions are worse in every possible way tbh

vortex does not have highest smite dmg. all pala shields have identical smit dmg except sr which has 0.5 avg dmg more. vortex has highest max and lowest min which means it is terribly inconsistent which makes it the worst in terms of offensive stats. defensive stats of vortex are also not that good, bc the payoff for high def is low block which means you might lose stat points in vitality

drac r trash? ow don't work with smite? so you should use an soj over a bk ring???????????????????? raven frost???? goblin toes has more cb than gores does it not????????? like all the answers you give quick and stupid! talk this crap through. give reasons for what you are saying. read what i actually say instead of strawmanning. I already addressed my mistake about the armor and helm. move on.
you really think a phoenix is going to win out over an exile between 2 pallys with 3k+ life?
