MLD (Level 49) 1v1 25,000fg Tournament

The Tournament is in EU NonLadder (Players traveling from another realm will make the game)
Players that register for this event must compete in some of the 1 day events that we will be hosting prior to the tournament start (we still need to test certain matches, mostly related to sorc).

When does it start ?

This Tournament will begin the last weekend in May. It is not a 1 day event noting we want to test out as many builds (players will be encouraged to register with more then one build but must nominate before any duels commence the character order for qualification). There will be at least 2 groups, the top players from each group will advance to a KO stage, from which point prizes will begin to be awarded.

We will be hosting Mini tournaments prior to the tournament start and all players playing in these tournaments (with an unfamiliar build) must have played in at least one of these events with their character to qualify for a fg prize. If you do not compete with your character prior to this tournament you will not be allowed in.

Pay out structure will be based on total number entrants and I reserve the right to Kick/Ban players or to withhold prize pool if a user is acting poorly. This is a large payout, players that qualify for the knock out stage will at that point start winning fg. Top 8 Players will advance to the KO Phase (else top 16 if we get a few more players)

It will probably suck, but I might join with a lvl49 version of my 30 jabber. Its more melee oriented, but I’ll try open, what do I got to lose?!?

Right now I got decent high ED Mat javs (non-eth tho). Like 430ed 30ias

I still have no idea what to do with shield slot. Sanctuary does not fit the jabber at all.

Artisans Dragon Shield of deflecting with x30 30ed 9str 9dex jewels (or IAS as needed or -req as needed) or a rare grim shield 30/20 2 sox (ideally with edef).

Yeah that was option #1 as I got an Artisan Dragon sitting in stash.

I dont know if I got one with 30 sockets slot tho xD

30x 30ed 9str 9dex sound expensive xD

Just a quick heads up:

Blizz Sorc at MLD was ever a difficult build. It had serious mana issues and it forced people to mass stack, and namelock blizzard owns alot of builds (that cant teleport).
We are looking at something like this at the moment:

1. Max 1 Point Cold Mastery. This means we would also lower the D2LOD Cold stack of 250~275%, down to approx 205% (most builds, not ES sorc's though - ES Sorc's I am mulling over 105 Cold Res max)
2. Max 1 Point Ice Bolt. This reduces total Blizz damage. Max 10~15 (still testing) Ice Blast. This reduces total Blizz damage further.
3. With all the spare points the Blizz will either be forced to Max out Warmth, or drop points into TK/Teleport. This would resolve the historic mana issues of the build and speed up the duel (we dont want LONG duels).
4. Ultimately the likes of Barb/Necro/Java/Shaper/Smiter/Libby are freekill vs a Blizz sorc so we will have to adopt some kind of stop watch timer, i.e. Blizz must kill opponent in X minutes (3-5), yet to be determined.
