A few things I wanted to ask:
1. Are ethereal items allowed without selfrep? I see frostburn ethereal, are we allowed to use ethereal lidless too?
2. Are trappers allowed to use facets? I'd assume yes ? cos the trapper build has one in the shield
3. The orb blizz build that you linked has lightning facets in the orb, with that changed to cold, it does ~310 dmg on average vs 175 + raven
Keep in mind that a full facet build (with +1 skill shield faceted) will do 704 dmg on average vs 175 + raven, more than the double of that while not losing too much hp/mana, is this the intetion? (3 socketed kite shield does ~770)
This seems hard to balance :/
4. I asked you in pm, but I am still not sure about the meditation on paladin? Seems like prayer is not allowed, but the suggested build has medi skilled. When he uses medi doesn't he receive the full benefit of prayer too?

briefly:
eth frosts allowed
eth throwing weapons allowed for barbs
eth weapons without repl, not allowed on other classes
trappers can use facets but may not have more then 1 point in charged bolt sentry
cold sorcs may not use facets, and max 1 point in glacial spike and max 1 point in ice bolt and max 1 point in mastery - there were historic problems with the build in d2lod so we have enabled points into warmth (and lowered total stack allowable otherwise). in terms of all that, thats not the hard part to balance. the hard part is balancing blizz vs barb/nec/jav/smiter and we are mulling over our options.
as i said via pm 1 hard point prayer is allowed, but it may not be active, but you can skill and yoder with medi (which gives u a repl bonus via that hard skill point in prayer). the damage to life ratio is higher at this bracket and if a paladin is not engaging, unlike other communities, he will just be dq'd from the event (no 10 minute, nevermind 60 minute rounds, thanks).
