Potions with proficiency. The principle would remain as before, but the possibility of finding potions for example with +1 fire mastery, Axe mastery etc in my opinion seems interesting. This would have a significant impact on building for the entire weller character season, for example.

No thanks! Stat potions are the only ones that I care about and this would significantly reduce the amount of useful potions that drop. You can already boost your damage with stat potions so I really don’t see why you would want to add more garbage to the possible rolls of potions.

I understand. But not everyone has items like +200ee or even +170ee. Plus a proficiency of +30 per item. And in my opinion it would be a lot easier for less developed players or those who move between hardcore and softcore. Extra proficiency generates extra damage, something most beginners lack.

The ones who played from beginning and still care about getting the best gear don't want the newer players and ppl with less gear to obtain any advantage that makes their gear lose value.

Ie why nmnm got nerfed

This thinking is wrong I've been playing ls since 2008. We all encounter inactivity and new players. We also know how brutal this game is with new players and how many of them stay with this game for longer. 1 out of 10? And all because at the very beginning you have to invest a lot and the game does not offer anything as a booster for new players.

For us, the extra prof is of little importance. But for some, it's a big relief

I gave up quicker then I hoped I would’ve
I’ve also tried in previous years. I find I hit a dead point where I find for a game the payoff isn’t worth the work. I don’t know what the payout would be because I’ve never gotten to late game let alone end game. Takes too long to hack and slash a monster Down and wait in town for 10mins after every 2-3 fights if nothing drops to sack.

On a scale from 1 to 10 on preventing new people to get advantage in some way, this suggestion is a 0 or a -1, lol.

It sounds alright at first, but it will only make finding a useful potion harder for everyone, like rabbitroyal said.

In general, I don't think new players have death or well character they don't reroll so they can benefit from potions?

If there aren't extra conditions added to this suggestion, it's a no :(

What do you mean by new terms?

Maybe instead of +1 to a proficiency maybe just 10% of current progression?

Easiest way to make this work is to boost the potions drop rate 4x times.

If we assume everything is equally likely to drop, there's a 1/6 chance to find a specific potion atm.

To keep this chance the same with 18 extra potion types, which would make it 1/24 for a specific one, we'd need to boost drops 4x times.

Then not much will change for current potion users and new people would have the possibility of buying the not so commonly used potions, whichever they end up being.
