Love reading up on these new changes, I got caught with my pants down selling a 300 Ed eth ribby early last ladder and some experts came in letting me know that ias changes have turned the PVM paradigm on its head.

I've become a monstrous advocate of the 'Death' runeword this ladder due to those very same off weapon ias changes. What are your thoughts on Edeath Decaps (or glorious for range added) and Edeath Zerkers for the incredible DPS and deadly?

I'm scared the answer will be these are not allowed in gm sc duels, but I'm a HC guy and they have proven pretty excellent in that setting.

Is rabies good for PvM, or is it faster to swat away with fury?

Bwamble if yes?

Death Glorious is definitely one of my favorites.

It's kinda slow. It does stop monster life regeneration so it can be useful, but after Act 1 Hell it slows down a lot.

It’s really low damage compared to most other weapons, especially since it can’t be ethereal. It’s possible to win a little bit with it, and it can hit 3 frame, but overall you’ll lose more than you’ll win because of the very low damage. It was a great weapon in patch 1.09 because of the eth rune bug and lack of stuff like botd, edc, etc.

I found a 3socket 15/3 Fanged knife, made Fury out of it - but yes... as Ink said, the damage is just so insanely slow. Could be useful for Plague and Rabies for a niche build for the fun?

plague FK is awesome for fury/rabies druid. It slaps hard in pubs with the fury after you got your rabies applied. Here was mine!

Heya, this is a great question. If we're talking strictly about GM melee, it would be a pretty rare scenario in which a 160/60 armor (or any Jeweler's Armor of the Whale) would outperform a Fortitude. The reason being is that the Chilling Armor that can (and always does) proc from Fortitude is really powerful and would offer a huge advantage to the player wearing a Fort if their opponent did not have a Fort. In other words, if you proc your opponent's Chilling Armor early in the duel and you don't ever have Chilling Armor since you're wearing a 160/60 armor, that would be a tough duel to win.

That being said, people in our community have experimented with 160/60 for the reason you said - mostly to reach 3 frame with cool and interesting weapons, especially rare ones or something like EBOTDZ. While the above statement about Chilling Armor still applies, there hasn't been a lot of testing on this yet because everyone is too scared to take off the Fort, but it's definitely worth trying, I think. I heard that in Euro GM melee, Fort is banned so actually everyone uses these armors.

Ebotdz is probably the only weapon I'd try a 160/60 with just because it's usually capable of getting kills before CA can get triggered.
