Presumably were all into our 30's now.

For the non-enhanced of us, has recovery taken a nose dive for you? My body feels pissed off all the time at me, I still eat well but I am not recovering like I used to. Knee joints, elbows, shoulders, tendons pulling left and right.

Omega3 supplementation + cold shower after the workout helps with inflammation & recovery. Hurts hypertrophy.

Oh and no alcohol and sleep 8 hours a day.

I've always primarily run strength focused programs, with the odd hypertrophy block here or there. My workouts have almost only consisted of squat, bench, deadlift, rows and weighted chin-ups / pull-ups for 5 years now. Maybe it's time to back off the heavy. I'm not competing anyway.

It's just been a dramatic change in a year or two. My body hates me but its hard to give up the strength you worked for so you just keep going.

Just pulled my lower back for the first time. I’ve never had an injury so this shit sucks.

Stretching and rehab exercises for me 🙃

I’ve never done any stretching, rolling etc because I hated it. Now I have to work from the ground up because my mobility is SO bad after years of lifting.

Shit sucks but it can only get better with practise and consistency.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Always felt fairly invincible, googling rehab and mobility routines as we speak. I don't even know anything outside warm up and cool down from football years.

My exact thoughts

Im only about 2 weeks in. My physio has me doing

*Supine hamstring stretch
*Prayer stretch
*Hip flexor stretch
*Trigger point on glutes with lacrosse ball
* Seated glute stretch
* Jeffeson Curl

Then I throw in some more lower back / hip butterfly with weight stuff

I don’t like not being good at things instantly so this is a struggle for me but I am seeing results
