Sure but I'm the one made the thread to ask questions to others who have tried water fasting.

My results came with mental clarity, HUGE energy gain, weight loss (probably muscle as well as fat)

The body is mostly water, why not change the fluids so to speak and flush your system with water

Personally i drink steam distilled water

Mental clarity and "huge energy gain" are not objectively measurable attributes and thus require some sorts of placebo controlled trials which are difficult to carry out because when a person is fasting you can't really trick him into thinking he's not fasting...

It's perfectly legit for me to ask for your sources because i believe that people have to be ready to either back their arguments with legit sources when asked to do so or admit the lack thereof. This is the only way we can fight against bullshit broscience that plagues the health and fitness field.

The placebo effect is the most reliable effect in all of pharmacology

That's indeed somewhat true but it's efficacy is mainly restricted to the alleviation of subjective symptoms or psychiatric problems. If water fasting is no more efficient than placebo, then why would you do water fasting when you could find simpler ways to bring about the placebo effect, or even better, realize that it's just something inside your head that you can overcome by gradually changing your behaviour and attitude towards the symptom?

Placebo is not a mind-over-body type of thing, it's more like mind-over-mind.

Im well aware of what the placebo is also the results are easily shown not to be a placebo effect so i'm not sure what you're gravitating this way

All i'm asking is for your sources on water fasting being more efficient than placebo. Besides, what caused your initial lack of mental clarity or low energy levels to begin with? Is it something the water fasting fixed?

Well in today's society we are exposed to many chemicals within our food, water(Flouride, Chlorine + many more) Air (geo-engineering, exhaust ect)
Another big issue is WIFI, it's everywhere every home / workplace ect and studies show those electric signals have negative effects on the brain and body causing cancer, tumors ect
About 5 years i use to be a fast food junkie(twice a day usually), smoked cigarettes (about a pack a day) I weighed at my most 190 lbs i'm 5'8
I changed up my act and started drinking only water, cut fast food out and cut my meals down along with working out.
I'm 140 Lbs currently and looking to take my well being to the next level, I've been researching online and consulted with my doctor about water fasting and came up with positive results

Also you do realize placebo only works when the user is unaware the treatment is ineffective and works because they believe it works.

Again not sure why you are comparing placebo to actual results

There is no physical benefit to gain from long term fasting, unless you’re looking to feel Like complete garbage
