How much protein does a person with hardly any physical activity need per day?

I remember last year at school my biology teacher asked how much protein u need per day.

My answer was like 1/2g per lb of lean body mass.

She said no and said 30g.

Then she went on to say protein is the reason there are so many fat people, because people eat so much of it.

like 40-75 depending on your gender and body type.

I think an overall healthy diet for someone who is not active is more important than protein amount.
It would depend on how much the person weights but I'd probably ball park it around 80-100, now this obviously wont work for extremes, and I seriously doubt anyone who is completely inactive will have a good diet.

can you recommend me a 100% dairy and egg free protein powder.  I'm very allergic to the proteins in dairy(whey and casein) similar to those with peanut allergies and im having a hard time finding a protein powder that I can take with the proper BCAAs do you have any suggestions?

Sure. Sending you a message

Hey, this is my current workout (phul) http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/phul-workout

So far so good however I would like to focus much more on hyperthophy than a mix of hyper-strenght

do you know any intermediate routine for 4d/week?

As of now my all time favorite is probably glute ham raises, if I could use a reverse hyper it'd be that.
Other good exercises are good mornings, SLDLs with BBs and DBs, cable pull thoughts, wide stance squats laying or standing band ham curls(around 100 reps per leg in 1 set no stops)

Why? Having strength is functional.

If you get stronger you'll get bigger just keep doing what you are doing. A mistake beginners make is they change programs every 1-6 months because they aren't getting "results". You can't evaluate if a program is working or not based on that small time frame.

What are some of your favorite exercises for building raw strength that directly relates to sprinting and explosive strength?

skeletal alignment is more beneficial than traditional strength training for sprint speed and generating power :D
