Hey raynor,

I was wondering..

If you would for example completely burn a piece of meat in a pan(cook it for like an hour, all black/shrinked etc), what would happen to the nutritional value? Does it change?

Not that I'm planning to do it, or like the taste, but I'm just a curious guy in general haha

Thanks :)

Hi Raynor,

I was looking for a good HIIT routine for a treadmill.

Preferably one that will engage my anaerobic system for 2 minutes at a time.

Thanks,

If you want to train anaerobically for 2 minutes at a time.

do this:

1 minute walk
2 minute jog
1 minute sprint
1 minute walk
2 minute jog
1 minute sprint

repeat over and over.

Check your heart rate often, and make sure it's between the 155-190 mark during the 2nd minute of the jog and the 1 minute of the sprint.

So I feel like the reason I am always tired/sad mood swings/problems gaining weight is due to my thyroid.

Would you agree?

There is a possibility.....

have you ever had your thyroid tested? What were your TSH levels?

This guy in this video mentions that Cable crossovers does 0 effect on chest, what do you think ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-oaWxmIsek

When doing Dumbbell shoulder press and Arnold Press do you go all up with the weight or just halfway ? Would you say Its like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEwKCR5JCog or more like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj2w851ZHRM.

I'm sorry for posting so many links, but I'm really worried about my form and I want it to be perfect, I dont want to be doing a wrong excercise for months.

LMAO that was a really funny video. First of all, look at the guy in the video. No wonder he says cable crossovers are useless....he's doing them wrong and probably eating nothing but soy protein.

Here's the deal. Cable Crossovers are very beneficial to shaping and elongating the chest. They also can help build pectoral peak which is critical for the most muscular pose. I love burning out chest day with heavy cable crossovers.

As far as shoulder press and arnold press goes - you can do both of them and AVOID lockout....so lift to the top and start bringing it right back down before you get to the full lockout. This keeps tension on the shoulders which thus improves the overall workout in regard to muscle fiber tears and thus building.

I have done some reading, but I was curious as to your thoughts on or experiences with melatonin; primarily, though, yes/no to taking it, its long-term side effects, whether its of any use to those without any major sleep problems, and just anything you feel is important to know.

From what I've seen in others, including in my research, as well as on myself - melatonin should be used occasionally on an as needed basis. Supplementing with it every night could get problematic. You can develop tolerances to it where 5-10mg is not enough. Before you know it, sleep will not occur without melatonin. HOWEVER, if you need to get especially restful sleep one night, or if you need to get to bed earlier one night, pop 5-10mg of melatonin on an empty stomach before bed with plenty of water.

In regard to long term problems, there aren't any major health concerns besides dependency.

Hey ray

On your hypertrophy routine.  How long would a typical leg/ shoulder and abs workout last.  Including Just the work sets and the warm up for each exercise.?

Around 2 hours depending on the gym you use and how many breaks you need.

Hey Raynor, my girlfriend is looking for a gym routine to basically just remain healthy, no real specific goal. I know it's pretty vague ^_^ but do you have any suggestions for what she should be doing? she's 5'4 , 105 lbs.

everything she needs is here:

Thank you sir ;)

Also, I have a stubborn bench MAX, as opposed to a stubborn pec that won't grow...any tips? My chest muscles have developed well but my numbers seem to barely go up. I'm currently on your 3on 1off plan

You need to be on the 5x5 plan to upgrade your strength numbers. You are currently on a plan designed to make you BIGGER, not necessarily stronger.

try this:

5x5 plan

Also make sure you are getting enough calories/nutrition/macros.

If you want your diet scrutinized, post it along with your height/weight and bf%
