yes the guide sure is helpful (except the 200-230 dex part ...that's a huge waste if you ask me)

I think I will need tips/advice from those who consistantly well successfully as melee. With all the changes, I think when I update the guide, I'm not going to be able to add any tips for melee. Been too long since I bothered to test a melee char.

I well with my ninja and I have been 100% so far on my past 6 climbs. I always use robes on any class pretty much but these are the items I use to well with:

Mythical ultimanium sword
Level Req: 55
Damage: 76 to 760

+197% Enhanced Effect
+4 Intelligence
+123 Max Mana
+3% Life Steal
+1% Block

Mythical wyvernskin padded robe
Level Req: 40
Defense: 0 to 36

+45 Dexterity
+25 Vitality
+4 Mana Regen
+6 Extra Item Slots
+6% Life Steal

Angelic fire XIII
Level Req: 50
Spell Damage: 42 to 114
Mana Cost: 125

+33 Intelligence
+63 Max Mana
+5 Extra Item Slots
+13% Life Steal

Given I have 22% life steal and the +33 intelligence from my charm for protection but I only use anywhere from 110-125 dexterity with a robe. On my monk, I had 19% life steal and still did 100% of my wells.

Probably best to have a high range weapon with over 175% EE, 125 dexterity, a little bit of extra intelligence, and at least 15% life steal.

Not sure if you read that part at the end since I edited a couple of minutes after but for now, that is the best I can come up with until I have time to make it more in-depth.

Those are the minimum stats that I would recommend.

well written i don't know if it was that much usefull to me even though i'm not experienced at all, but some completely unexperienced people might find it very helpful. how about adding approximately which stats you should aim for? like; the caster should have xxxx life, xxx int, xxx ee on charms etc.
