How much ee should you be looking for?
what sort of budget should you really be looking at and how long it takes? (even a 100ee mq weapon with ~130ee chain and 45 dex charm took me a few hours for 55-73)
Also i would immensely suggest that any new player basically spends as little as possible on items upto level 45, then spends the majority of their budget on level 45+ equip. 1-25 can be done with like 20ee gear without a great deal of hassle, whilst even thinking of doing that for level 55 is gonna take a week.
Avoid the marketplace as a general rule of thumb. Use the trade forums and check peoples FT lists, Resellers do exist in particular for clubs/daggers/swords/axes as these are items that new players pick up most commonly.

Those are some of my top tips for when i pm new players, although in general i go and hunt down items on the trade forum for them.

Thank you. I will include these details in the next one in a few weeks which will be more complete but still succinct. A lot of people start with 500 fg or even 100k fg so investing 10-20 fg all the way up to 55 shouldn't be a problem. I think from the picture I posted people can see how much items are going to cost and if they browse the marketplace they'll get a notion of how much of a budget they will need on their own. The amount of ee they should be looking for is definitely an important detail to add.
I will also add the ft list part which is Essential to finding better gear. This guide was intended to get someone to their very first 71 climb. If it's too complicated and they have to use a forum + read a long guide + more. They want to just click and find a way to get to master quest. Climb #2, climb #14 will establish them as active members of the community in which they will need more suitable information. All shall be included. Thanks for the help mclarke!!!

Another thing I need to make more objective is the amount of monsters to watch out for. Needs to be top 5-10 monsters with what they do not 30-40 mobs.

Maybe also include a list of what stats to look for on certain items (such as ees, magic luck, regen, etc)
An explanation in the value of multiple runs rather than hitting mq and quitting the game, etc...

I'll add that to the next one. Definitely should have more information regarding that :) .

I've not really done extensive testing on this, but any reason you're recommending strength/dex gear over EE for armor?
In general i find i can get more kills even with a reasonably low level55 ~60ee scale/chain/heavy than using a ~30 strength level 45+ armor.

Not saying it's wrong, but worth asking the question

Its like offensive defense. The faster you kill something the less hits you take. Is my understanding

i am totally aware that's the arguement, but at what point does strength overtake EE?

I would expect over 10 mobs for an 80ee plate user to have taken significantly less damage than a 30 strength plate user. Although the 30 strength plate user will have killed them faster and have more time for regen.
I would expect 80ee to beat 30 strength in terms of time to reach level 71.

Where's the cut off point? Or do we simply suggest that both work?
I "might" look into this with some actual real numbers from playing the game with both sets of equip.

I can say for certain i would need a lot of regen time if i used 50 strength armor over my 135 ee plate.
