If you go back to the first walk, this is what I proposed. But no he didn’t want to do it because it was “too difficult to manage”. I even proposed that everyone that contributed have a separate channel in the discord. He could post live updates on the walk. Instead he decided to waste more time PMing people on the forum. Which has a queue time after each message. At the end of it all, more time was spent PMing people rather than getting contributors discord tag and adding them to a private discord.

All he had to do was create a server, invite the intended participants and then update daily when changes are made. (Removing and adding participants each walk for an updated group list)

Messaging everyone separately on jsp makes 0 sense lol.

They are both in the wrong here id say. Meph only being wrong in the sense that he wants 40k instead of his actual investment of course.

This is difficult to manage. You have to ensure that every single person (even people that don't use Discord) get into one single Discord channel with a special role, and update the members for that 1 channel every single Dclone Walk, and then somehow hope that someone won't just take a screenshot of that one discord channel and ruin it for everyone.

A personal DM touch works nicer. But obviously, as I've discovered this last time, there are flaws to this even. So a perfect system really truly is out of reach. I have learned things though that could make these systems work better in the future.

The perfect system is simple, don’t spend as much effort into trying to screw over those who didn’t pay, and spend the effort on making sure those who did get what they paid for.

For the record, the first 2 walks were run exactly like this. The 3rd one went fine for 95%+ of contributors, and they were forewarned of possible changes in the final hours. It isn't a bad idea to keep the public on their toes to incentivize future donations. The public info was always 100% correct, so there is also that. Not saying it went perfectly. Definitely improvements can be made.

People already said they will, it’s one thing to run a private one, where u don’t update people it’s another to deliberately run it to booster your twitch profile to get more views.

On sc plenty of private runs were run, and announced, but they weren’t leaked…

I have nothing against anyone doing these, my beef is people not being 100% transparent, if he had of said “look I’m doing this because I hope Plenty of you tune in” then fuck great, but when so much subterfuge was used it’s like come on, we aren’t morons (well we know plenty are but you know)

A private run is private, as proven, this was used to have the cake and eat it, and that’s what I think annoyed so much. Either make it private or make it public, don’t try and do both!

It was never 100% set in stone. They just mad cause they spent $1500 in d2r accounts and 2 hours getting 40 accounts into games into the WRONG REALM trollollolloll
