Classic although it may look the same is a far cry from the original Vanilla

Those comparing what they see now in Classic compared to how things were 15 years ago, that never actually played it, really have little basis or understanding of their arguments

Classic and Retail both leave something to be desired and for me they stem more from the changes in the gaming community and people over the years than the games themselves

I have never played Retail, or anything after brief TBC, but from what I've read and heard, it's a shame a world class gaming company such as Blizzard can no longer pioneer games and content how they used to

How nice would it be to see World of StarCraft even or something really new and refreshing. Content quality among everything we consumers get has been watered down endlessly with little standards in the pursuit of profits and market share

you want to be better than everyone else
you want to be casual
you don't want to invest time or effort
you cry that retail isn't hardcore enough
classic is better because it's hardcore and you have to work for stuff and it takes time and pressing 1 button as a "rotation"

I work 50 hours a week & try to maintain social life, i dont have the time to invest in routinely playing retail and keeping up with others.

I'm 8/8M and we raid twice a week with an option 3rd day if we're close to done. 8 hours a week. 8 hours a week in Vanilla would take you 5 months to hit 60.

Must not be tough. The guild I am in on retail is 2 days with no option for a 3rd and they are 8/8M. I see no guilds from Illidan (what your profile says you play on) that are 8/8M under the filter for 1-2 raids/week.

The only thing hard about Classic World of Warcraft is the world .. of warcaft. World of Warcraft is the name of the game. The thing that is difficult about it ... is the game.
