wouldn't stop them from congregating in the first place, or just go somewhere else. imo THIS one is the main concern in terms of health, and i'm not sure how the league (and politics) will react if that turns out to be an issue.

very true, that's why i specifically pointed out it might be considered an additional and arguably unnecessary risk. as much as we love football, i don't think anyone here would argue that it's more important that someones livelihood. so people taking risks to secure the latter makes much more sense than making those 'sacrifices' for football.
