Doesn't the French league have a new tv rights contract starting next season, so they don't want to delay with start of the new season

Id like to have football back but it seems like an unusual decision for now, i think they can promote/demote based on table points and even crown the leadings.
If they will reset the seasons then it says someting about the future and its not good.

No they can't. 4 points separate 15th to 19th in the EPL. You think you can tell 3 teams that, although it isn't mathematically secured, they are going to be relegated and lose that revenue? They would probably get taken to court if they tried that.

There are teams with much easier fixtures ahead than others, it's completely unfair. If you want to count the season and finish it, then it would be easier to just make the decision based on the standings at the end of the first round of games around december/january.

In any case, that wouldn't work, because as piatek said, relegated teams would go to court and very likely win, meaning that the leagues will be forced to readmit them and compensate them, which would cause further problems in the long run.
