Gates is definitely an all time best TE, but he had the bad luck of playing for the chargers all of his career, not a knock on Rivers, just the rest of the team/franchise.

I haven't watched a ton of GB this year, how's he been this year for you guys? I miss him a lot, he was an excellent blocker and an above average pass catcher for sure. Great all around player, just glad he got a ring after being stuck with such a terrible franchise.

They also are allergic to running the football so that signing didn't make sense to me from the beginning.

Brick hands. Very good blocker, which is something we DESPERATELY need with our line being mangled. But for the price tag and hype that came with him this offseason, he's been targeted enough to make a difference but has been unable to hold onto the ball or break tackles.
