flyers looked a lot better tonight then last season thats for sure way quicker then last season
battling for the puck and winning the battles beating devils players to the 50/50 pucks
playing with confidence pinching instead of just backing off

konecny playing with that shooter mentality guy had like 10 shot attempts tonight
hart looked good too specially considering he didn't get much action leading up to tonight

young guys looked good too

also signed sanheim to an 8x6.25m extension


team wasn't perfect but i think give them a couple more games to build some chemistry and have the system more dialed in they should get a bit better still

2-0 to start you can really tell the difference torts has made behind the bench.

Went down early in both and they fought and won both, hart played great after that 1st period today
Tk already with 3 goals, deangelo got his 1st, love to see

yeah its so noticeable and refreshing to see
i figured provorov and konecny would be the biggest benefactors provorov is a workhorse type guy and even he started to not care and konecny stopped being that in your face 110% every shift guy and just relied on his skill and half assed his shifts
plus deangelo giving provy an actual partner since niskanen retired i think is going to be a really big for him
im hoping torts takes risto to the next level too now that we got him locked up bring out all that potential

3-0 philadelphia flyers

Really sure what to think here, beating a top 1-2 team in the league after going down 2-0. Something different about this teams heart.

Cates with the game winner. Young noah lmao not even too sure I know who he even is

Gotta gove torts a lot of credit, hes getting the best out of these guys early on

yeah i dont think anybody expected the flyers to start 3-0 lol
and that was a great effort by cates for the gwg he played a couple games for us last season he looked pretty good i expected him to make the roster this year as he was probably the most impressive youngster last season imo

and it a nice story to have his brother jackson in the flyers org as well who also seems like hes developing pretty good

and while we beat tampa they havnt looked like the tempa we know but its still a big win and a confidence booster for sure
what impresses me though is the fact all 3 wins are comebacks last season we would fall behind and it was game over but this season torts has them keep playing hard til the end

and this is without couts risto atkinson tippet once we start getting them back we should be even better

also they did what i figured sandstrom off injured list and gets the #2 spot ersson sent down
ersson played good in the preseason tbh but the waiver situation with sandstrom i think kinda gave him the edge

1st loss of the season team had a pretty bad 1st period but came back really strong surprise right haha
2nd game in a back to back with the #2 starting is a tough game specially against a good team like the panthers

konecny looked great again with the late goal and the offside disallowed goal and he missed that redirect with wide open net hes getting lots of chances coulda had like 3g tonight
sandstrom played pretty good too the one goal i feel he shoulda saved but overall not bad considering he just got back from injury and hasnt played since preseason
provorv and deangelo struggled a bit tonight with the panthers speed not sure if thats cause of the back to back or what the whole team seemed slow tonight but they kept battling

also im going to say it so far im impressed by deslaurier hes had some big fights that changed the momentum and hes made some really great defensive plays and seems to make the right decisions most times
still think his contract is a bit much but i can see why they wanted him at least seems like a fairly dependable bottom 6 guy im starting to like him hes not my fav player or anything but he plays the right way
