Torts holding these guys accountable. York wasnt good in the preseason
“Cam York didn't have a very good camp. Coaches pointed it out, challenged him to play better, & then he had another poor showing in the finale.
I think he's "better" than vets like Seeler/Connauton. But if you kept him, you were keeping him because of who he is, not what he did”

Watched ln a little bit, the tippett goal was nice
yeah for sure i think its good hes doing that last season a lot of guys got a free pass to see what the nhl was like and you could see a lot of the vets just coasting half assing it
this season they knew what torts was going to be like and had to earn it so im fine if guys get sent down it just means somebody else likely came into came in better shape and playing better
now york can go in the ahl play top line mins and develop maybe catch his groove and get called up or at the rate we get injuries just called up from that lol
and from the highlights i saw connauton made some nice defensive plays and hes a bigger guy something i see torts liking
and i know from last season seeler looked like a pretty solid bottom pair guy he gives 100% every shift which again is something torts is looking for so its not surprising
yeah the tippet goal was pretty nice he looked pretty quick and made some nice power forward plays to the net too in the highlights
how do you feel about the goalies? sandstroms played pretty good but watching ersson he just looks so much more efficient and calm going to be interesting with sandstrom dealing with waivers though
sandstrom just kinda reminds me of stolarz before we traded him for talbot and hes a pretty decent goalie for the ducks now so i dont wanna lose him through waivers
i figure ersson gets the #2 til sandstrom is healthy then he gets the #2 and ersson sent down to be ahl starter with grosenick starting out as ahl starter til ersson gets sent down
